We move your existing site to Flashnests at no charge. Most migrations complete within 24 hours of you giving us access, and the process is designed so your current site keeps serving visitors the whole time.
What we need: access to your current hosting - cPanel login, FTP details, or a full backup file - and a note of anything unusual we should know about, such as a cron job that must keep running or an application with hard-coded paths.
What we move: website files, databases, email accounts and their stored mail, cron jobs, FTP accounts, and DNS zone records.
How it runs:
- You open a migration request in the client area with your access details.
- We copy everything across while your old site stays live and untouched.
- We give you a preview link so you can check the site here before anything changes publicly.
- You approve, then point your domain at our nameservers.
- DNS propagates over the next few hours.
Downtime is normally zero, because both copies are live during the changeover. Email is the one area to plan around - messages arriving during propagation can land in either mailbox, so keep the old account active for a week and check both.
Very large sites, hand-built server configurations, and sites on unusual platforms may need extra work. We will tell you before we start, not after.
