A package is a template of limits. Create it once, then every account you sell on that plan gets identical settings without you deciding anything twice.

In WHM go to Packages, then Add a Package. The fields that matter:

  • Disk quota and monthly bandwidth - in MB, so 10 GB is 10240.
  • Max addon domains, subdomains and parked domains - the main lever between a basic plan and a bigger one.
  • Max email accounts, databases and FTP accounts - unlimited is fine for higher tiers, but a low cap on your cheapest plan is a reasonable way to keep it honest.
  • cPanel theme - jupiter unless you have a reason.
  • Feature list - which cPanel icons this tier can see. Useful for keeping the cheapest plan simple.

Practical advice: build three tiers rather than seven. Customers choose faster from three, and every extra tier is another thing you maintain and explain forever. Name them after what they are for - Starter, Business, Pro - rather than after their disk size, so you can change the numbers later without renaming anything.

Changing a package does not retroactively change accounts already created on it. To apply new limits, use Upgrade/Downgrade an Account on each one, or select the package again to re-apply.
